Katarzyna Herman-Pawłowska

Katarzyna Herman-Pawłowska is an analyst, evaluator, expert in strategic planning of EU funds and public participation. She is also member of the Board and Strategic Project Director of the Foundation Idea of Development. Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Studies at College of Europe in Natolin. Ph.D. in economics obtained at the Warsaw School of Economics. She has many years of experience in planning and implementing public interventions gained while working in public administration, including the Ministry of Regional Development. She was involved in preparing system of managing cohesion policy in Poland in 2007-2013 perspective.

Besides, she was responsible for building institutional administration capacity to manage and introduce European funds in Poland at the time. She implemented development projects in Tunisia, as well as scientific and watchdog projects aimed at promoting the idea of ​​evidence-based policies. She is author of articles and publications on the Europeanisation process of Polish public administration, multi-level governance, strategic planning, use of knowledge coming from evaluation.

Moreover, she conducts trainings on EU cohesion policy, strategic planning, public participation, etc.
