Richard Filčák, PhD has more than 15 years of extensive experience as a researcher, evaluator and development projects coordinator - working in Central Europe, West Balkan, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia and Georgia. His work and research interests are mainly in environmental and social policy development in the countries in transition - with particular attention to social and territorial exclusion, structural barriers to social cohesion and using natural resources in local and regional development strategies.

He has worked as a team leader at capacity building projects focusing regional and local development strategies. He regularly collaborates with United Nations Development Programme, World Bank, EC and KPMG. In the recent years, he worked intensively as a consultant for the Slovak government. He was coordinator of the ex-ante evaluation of the Partnership agreement 2014 - 2020 and team leader and/or senior expert for several sectoral evaluation of the cohesion policies impacts - in areas of education, green growth and R&D.
